WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

“It was okay coming in and talking to a counsellor. I thought it would be dead boring.
They are not trying to spoil your fun, they are just pointing out the dangers that could happen.
I don’t really talk to my mates the way I can talk to my counsellor so it helps me get rid of things.”
Service User (Young Person’s Project)

Thank you for helping my mum to stop drinking. She has put a lot of effort trying to stop
drinking and I don’t think she could be doing it without you and your help. My mum has
become a happier person and I like it a lot.

DACA is an extremely useful resource for the District Court and the Referral Scheme has
worked well over the years. It is encouraging to note from recent statistics that of those
referred, 72% have had a positive outcome on termination of counselling and 42% chose
to remain in counselling after the Court had disposed of their cases.
